“Inpired”

I just wanted to take a moment to voice how incredible I thought the Entrepreneurial Moms of Calgary Anniversary & Inaugural Spirit Event was!  As an Entrepreneurial Mom I am always networking, trying to get myself out there making business connections, etc.  I am thrilled to have finally found a network of women that I can relate to on a business level but also see myself forming friendship connections.  I didn't get a chance to speak personally with all of you but that is my mission. Those women that I did get to connect with wowed me!

EM Calgary (www.entrepreneurialmoms.org) is everything and more than I expected. Not only was I impressed with the women attending but Christie Schultz of EM Calgary of course was amazing.  And as I said to Lori Pilling of Enjoy! (www.enjoyonline.ca), I thought I knew how to entertain and then I met Lori!  We were all certainly catered to and I left feeling like I want to do more for this group. I want to get involved because I see big things for EM Calgary.

It is the way that Christie connects personally with everyone who joins. She follows up with emails, invites and takes the time to learn about each member and their business. I feel yet again that incredible feeling of being on the right path and knowing that I connected with EM Calgary for a reason. I am now telling everyone and anyone about EM Calgary. Amazingly so many women have heard of EM Calgary or have in some way already connected with Christie.

I will be attending the Entrepreneurial Moms Mommy Fair in June and am so excited. I hope to see you all there! Dawn McEwen, Co-Owner of Mia Baby (www.miababy.ca) and Special Events Coordinator of EM Calgary who has been in charge of organizing the event details, has been phenomenal!

I love knowing that with EM Calgary there is no waiting game. I know that if I seek an answer, opinion or just want to chat my communications are answered promptly and with enthusiasm. That just reminded me, everyone I meet that has connected with Christie describes her enthusiasm for wanting to help moms and empower women. I took the time to read the literature from Tuesday evening and was riveted.

Seems I could go on and on but I will finish with a thank you. Thank you to all of you whose strength, creativity and ambition are inspiring, I am proud to be considered a peer. Christie, thank you for your passion. It seems like you are a cheerleader for all moms and it is appreciated and needed.
 
We're going places ladies and I look forward to celebrating our accomplishments together. I feel like watching Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood now!
